iGu® FLYTRAP FANGREFLECTOR^®s are designed for use wherever a totally hygienic environment is of the essence. The FR 8008 G, FR 8008 GE and FR 8008 EX have a particularly important role to play in premises where there is a risk of explosion. In contrast to the well known electrical devices that use high-voltage grids, the FLYTRAP REFLECTORS produce no sparks when putting paid to flying insects. The trapping technique ensures that no dead or dying insects, or even the tiniest particle thereof, can pose a threat to hygiene in the actual production or processing operation concerned.

Flies and wasp are omnivores. This fact, in combination with their behavioral patterns, means they have to be classed as ranking among the most dangerous transmitters of germs. A single fly weighting in at just one milligram can transmit up to five million germs The FLYTRAP REFLECTOR 8008 series can therefore be used in areas where hitherto no method of insect control was available which fully met food-hygiene and safety requirements.

Changing the flytrap-reflector adhesive foil (4 per unit) is s straightforward and clean operation. Five sets (= 20 foils) are supplied with the unit. The foil features a highly reflective adhesive surface, which - in conjunction with the luring effect of the 365 nm light -- delivers trapping performance levels that levels or even far outstrip those achieved by the high-voltage-grid-type devices known to date.

Mains input 230 V/50 Hz, ready for plugging with a 3m cord. The lamps should each be changed after approx. 7000 hours of operation in order to maintain the highest level of efficiency; under normal circumstances, this means changing them once annually in the spring.
